STROKED by Meghan Quinn
NA Romantic Comedy
BLURB
Reese King: Olympic medalist, underwear model, Greek god.
His body is chiseled from rock, sculpted by the weight room, and refined by water.
On a daily basis his skin is completely bare for everyone to see, tan and defined, only covered up by a minuscule piece of spandex. There is no denying his sex appeal.
I hate to admit it, but I’m head over heels infatuated with him.
There is one HUGE problem though. His achingly gorgeous abs, inked up arm, and cocky swagger belong to my boss, the high-profile, reality star bitch from hell and certified heinous human being, Bellini Chambers.
What I think is going to be an easy job assisting a glorified wench turns into a cluster f*ck of epic proportions.
Kim's 5 Star Review
Paisley lands herself a jobs as an assistant to two reality
TV stars. One she can’t stop thinking
about and the other an outrageous pre-Madonna.
Taking this job is suppose to get Paisley back into doing what she loves
but with Bellini Chambers is involved anything could happen.
I was gifted this book in exchanged for an honest review and
boy did Meghan hook me for the start!!!
Paisley is a
strong-willed, independent young woman who is trying to prove that she can make
it on her own. After getting canned from a network show, the only job she or
best friend Jonathan could find for her is being the assistant to Olympic
medalist Reese King and reality TV star Bellini Chambers. The problem is
Bellini takes drama queen to the extreme so much so it could drive anyone nuts
and to top it off Paisley is insanely attracted to Reese, Bellini boyfriend
Reese is
known as the silver stroke because he has been able to capture the gold
medal. With his last Olympic coming up
he is looking toward his future and somehow ends up on Bellini’s TV show. This hard
working alpha male is use getting the woman he wants but that was until she meets
Bellini. The only good thing about the TV show is he gets to spend time with
Paisley.
Bellini
Chambers is the character you love to hate.
She comes up with the most ridiculous ideas and actually thinks everyone
should fall at her feet. Insults people
thinking she is actually helping them and doing the world a service by offering
her unwanted opinion. The fact that her
father’s fortune came at an embarrassing price means nothing to her as long as
she get her own way and uses it as a sympathy if she doesn’t get her way. She is so clueless it makes you wonder how she
even made it through life. The funny thing about Bellini is now I notice Fiji
water which I never did before.
Reese and
Paisley have a connection from the start.
You can’t help but wonder why Reese is dating Bellini and not
Paisley. The attraction between Reese
and Paisley is so intense you can’t help but feel when you read their story. These
two light up a room when they’re together and you have to wonder why Bellini is
so dense to what is going on between Reese and Paisley, then you remember that
Bellini doesn’t see Paisley as a threat as she isn’t rich. As the friendship between
Reese and Paisley blooms, their connection gets more intense and you can feel the
sexual attraction in the air which leaves you wanting Reese to smarten up and
dump Bellini. There were so many times I
just wanted to yell at Reese for stay with Bellini but then again I just wanted
to smack Bellini upside the head for things she said to people.
Meghan is
one of the great writers out there. She can
write romantic comedies and then follow up with an intense romantic story. Pulling both of them together in one book just
adds to one of her many talents. She had
me hooked from the first chapter and drawing me into the story so much so that
I ended up with several late night binge reading sessions. If you have never picked up one of Meghan’s
books this is a great one to start with.
She did an amazing job and even has me looking forward to watching Men’s
swimming when the Olympics are on.

About the Author
Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if "It's Raining Men" starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.
Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing... enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
Thank you!
