“What’s wrong?” I ask.
“Just a little tight, is all.”
I inhale through my nose. I have to shove the pregnancy stuff to the back corner of my brain. We’re a long way off from Olivia letting me pump her full of my semen anyhow, so why am I stressing about it now? The first step is showing her how compatible we can be.
And that starts now.
I smile at her. “Sit tight. I’ll be right back.”
I grab a bottle of massage oil from the hall closet and return to the living room. The soft jazz music seems to float in the air, creating a pleasant buzz in the atmosphere.
Olivia’s eyes widen when I rejoin her on the couch, but she doesn’t question me.
“I’ll give you a massage,” I suggest. “Take off your sweatshirt.”
Olivia flinches, chewing on her lip while she watches me. “But I’m not wearing anything underneath.”
That’s the idea. “I promise not to look.”
She hesitates for another second, then turns her back to me and pulls her shirt over her head, dropping it to the floor. The creamy canvas in front of me is one to be admired. The twin dimples in her lower back near the band of her leggings would make lesser men weep.
I warm a few drops of oil between my palms and rest my hands on her stiff shoulders.

father’s company but that’s not all they have to do. When Noah realizes that Olivia didn’t fully
read the entire contract it leaves it up to him to find a way to tell her. After
the first attempt at a wedding had Olivia leaving Noah at the altar. Once Olivia realized she need Noah’s help to
get out of a sticky situation she goes to him for help. Noah proves to Olivia that he’s not just the
playboy she thought he was, but he takes the marriage arrangement seriously.

I love that
we get to see Olivia bloom in this part of the story. She opens up herself to things that she may
never have because of her strong work ethic and bad self-image thanks to a
lousy ex. Olivia even trusts Noah enough to take their arrangement to the next
level.
We see Noah
grow too. He may have been a playboy
before, but his feelings for Olivia are real and he struggles with the fact
that Olivia doesn’t know all of what they must do to keep the company in the
family. The guilt he feel is because he
is falling in love with her but telling her this vital piece of information
could ruin everything they built and he doesn’t want to lose her.
Kendall knows
how to keep her readers drawn in so they can’t wait to see what comes
next. You want Noah and Olivia to be
together but you find yourself screaming at Noah to tell Olivia the little
secret he is keeping. Olivia may come
off as confident but she is really insecure with herself (no thanks to her ex),
which is the reason why she hasn’t let Noah breakdown her walls and into her
heart. Just when you think these two have it together Kendall throws you a
twist leaving you shocked and wanting the third volume of the book which is not
out for another two weeks. Kendall is an incredible writer and I can’t wait to
see what she has in store for Noah and Olivia in the final volume of Hitched!
