Jordan’s body responded to my every single touch and caress.
“Now I know why you’ve never had to ask a girl on a date.” She
hooked her legs around me and wrapped her arms around my neck, her tongue
intertwining with mine, sucking, so. Damn. Hard that I couldn’t help but keep
moaning. The things that woman could do with her mouth.
I deepened the kiss, my hands reaching for the clasp of her bra.
I flicked it off. Jordan immediately froze. Her hands quickly covered her
breasts.
“What are you doing?” I tried prying her hands free.
“Too fast.” She nodded, her cheeks staining with color. “You
know for our, uh, date night.”
“Move your hands.”
“No.”
“Jordan.”
“Reid.” She laughed nervously.
“Fine.” I nodded. “I didn’t want to have to do this.”
Jordan frowned.
I raised my hand.
She frowned harder.
I flipped her onto her stomach and slapped her ass. Hard.
“What are you
doing?” she yelled.
“Why, sweetheart . . .” I kissed her ear. “I’m
taming.”
“The hell you are!”
“You like it.” Another swat. “And I’m barely spanking you, but a
man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do. Cover them up again and I won’t be
responsible for my actions.”
“But—”
I flipped her back around. “But what?” I honestly wanted to know
why a girl that gorgeous would cover up.
“It’s just that—” Jordan chewed her lower lip. “I’m the
lights-off girl.”
“Lights off?”
“Yeah.” She shrugged a shoulder as more color stained her
cheeks. “You know, the girl you don’t really notice right away until you’ve had
one too many, then you take her home and have your way with her—in the dark.”
Horrified, I could only stare in shock. “Please tell me that
hasn’t actually happened.”
“Reid.” She shoved me away and started to get to her feet.
“Look, I’m not stupid, okay? And I’m not even that insecure anymore. I know how
guys think, all right?”
“Oh, yeah?” I stood, pulled her flush against my very hard body.
“What am I thinking about right now?”
“ESPN?”
“Damn.”
Her shoulders deflated. “See?”
I burst out laughing. “Honey, we have a pretty big problem if
ESPN gets me this excited, don’t you think?”
“Hey, sometimes baseball just does it for people.” She gave me a
sexy-as-hell smile. “It’s not your fault you like balls.”
“I can’t believe you just challenged my manhood when it’s
saluting you like that. Damn, woman, I’m basically giving you the equivalent of
a high five and a home run all in one and you’re making jokes?”

This is the third book in the Consequence and it would be helpful but not necessary to read them in order.
Hollywood heart throb Reid Emroy’s wasn’t having luck when it comes to women. He knew what he wants and brought his “A” game but the execution wasn’t working. Just when he thought it couldn’t get any worse his brother Max steps in to help him out. Will Reid find what he has been looking for or will Max’s latest stunt be the end of Reid’s career?
Reid may be the oldest of the Emroy boys but his little brother Max steals the show with is outrageous ideas and personality. The Emroy’s have a multi-million dollar company which is run by Max as Reid had decided to take all the years of acting camp to use. He loves his job and for the most part he’s quite successful. Reid knows that he has the look but doesn’t act like he does. As sure of himself as he is, he’s lost his edge and can’t seem to get it back.
Meeting her newest client Jordan Litwright never thought that it would be the hot gay guy from the bar the night before. Little does Jordan know that Reid is not only not gay but unlike most people he actually sees her. Jordan has spent most of her life in the background and she’s comfortable with that. It works great for her job as a publicist. Taking on Reid Emroy was supposed to be easy but what she didn’t take in account was his over the top brother,Max.

Reid is no Max but when you get these together the maturity in the room drops. The sibling rivalry is not like most. When Max put out to the media that Reid is looking to “Tame” a real shrew he didn’t expect to have Jordan step in. Jordan on the other never knew what she was getting into when she agreed to take Reid on as a client. What she wasn’t told was that you don’t just get Reid but you get his media nightmare brother Max too. Reid has to pick a shrew but who he really wants but can’t have is Jordan. The fact that people bump into and miss seeing her altogether has Reid baffled. Why can’t they see the gorgeous woman that she is but even Jordan acts like she’s nothing special? Reid decides that it’s time to show her just how special she is and decides that she will be the shrew. For Jordan this taming a shrew has disaster written all over it until Reid introduces her as his shrew. Working with what she has, Jordan sees the up side to being the shrew as she has more control over what the media see but as always Max is the one wild card no one can predict.

Reid knows what’s right in front of him too bad Jordan doesn’t see herself through his eyes. He works hard to show Jordan just how special she is and gets frustrated that she can’t see it for herself. As Reid spends more time with Jordan their connection grows into something more and what they have together grows too. Of course you can’t forget Max because, well he’s unforgettable. Just when you think Max is on his best behaviour…he strikes again. Rachel wrote this book in true Emroy boy style and once you start reading it you won’t be able to put it down.
