With Ruby Riot on a break, Will returns to university to finish his degree. He needs major help if he wants to pass his final year and attempts to join a not-very-rock star study group. Will is horrified to discover the person organising the group is Fleur Roberts, the girl he’s secretly crushed on for two years and who recently threatened him with a restraining order.
Fleur’s rock stars are history academics. She has no interest in any variety of pierced, tattooed slacker, especially not the jackass rock star who humiliated her at a party. There’s no way in Hell that Will Campbell is joining her group.
Faced with losing the easiest way to fix his academic problems, Will has the perfect solution: pretend he’s his twin, Nate. Will and Nate have swapped identities before so nothing can go wrong. Surely.
Fleur is successful academically, but her love life is a failure. Following a number of disastrous dates, she finds herself falling in love with a guy who is lying to her. But Will’s deceit isn’t the only thing about to shatter her world. When another man Fleur trusted betrays her, and she attempts to retaliate, Fleur discovers how dangerous he is. And when Will becomes involved, the repercussions threaten both of their futures.
Shuffle is the second standalone book in the Ruby Riot series and can be read separately to the first book.

Excerpt
(every ‘Nate’ who is in the
excerpts with Fleur is Will)
I step closer and look down
at Fleur whose breathing grows heavier, face pinker. “Do you think I ever trick
any girl into thinking they’re worth more unless they are? Why would I do that?
Chicks know what they’re getting into with me, I - "
“Exactly!” she says. “And I’m
not ‘getting into it’ with you!”
“It?”
“Being your fun for a few
days.”
“A few days? How many days
have I spent with you? Both of us fighting this... whatever the hell this is.”
“Not both of us.”
“The kiss?”
“One kiss.”
“One mind-blowing kiss,” I
correct.
“Wasn’t that special,” she
mutters.
“Now who’s lying?”
The volume in the room
grows as the evening darkens outside. “You’re confusing me! Leave me alone!”
“Fuck this,” I mutter under
my breath, grab Fleur’s head firmly in both hands and kiss her.
Immediately, she presses
her mouth back on mine, hands going to my chest. She pushes her tongue into my
mouth and I stumble. Fleur tastes as she does in my memories; sweet,
intoxicating. I pull her towards me, wrap my arms around her soft curves, and I’m
gone. Fleur’s
about to discover exactly how much I’ve held back and judging by the way her
mouth is locked on mine, Fleur’s as desperate for this kiss as I am.
Mind.
Blown.
Maybe it’s because I'm
kissing her as Will and not Nate, no more secrets, but I want her. Bad. I pull
my face away, leaving the tiniest of gaps between our lips. “Want me to stop?”
She
doesn’t
answer and pulls my head to hers again. I back up and lift Fleur onto the desk.
Her darkened eyes tell me all I need to know: her self-control is rapidly
leaving too. No way did I expect this reaction from her, but it’s bloody
awesome.
