BOOK
SUMMARY:
BURNING THROUGH GRAVITY—they soared so high so fast they never
expected the fall.
Two beautiful
souls.
Two seemingly
innocent deceptions.
Once they meet, Stevie and Ford
explode into one another in a ball of lust, hotter than a July moon. Ford is
assertive, dominate and in control, that is until Stevie brings him to his
knees. He thinks she’s the most beautiful woman he’s ever met both inside and out.
Stevie thinks he’s sweet, and sort of goofy—of course it doesn’t hurt that he
drips sex like honey.
Stevie is starting to fall hard for
Ford.
And Ford is all in with Stevie.
She wonders if he could ever forgive
her for what she’s about to do.
She wonders if she wants him to.
They say love conquers all.
But love never met two liars like
Stevie and Ford.
His lie cost her a
few sleepless nights.
Her lie will cost
him everything.

Kim's Review
Stevie (Stephanie) and Claire Easton were as close
as two sisters could be until Claire’s death from cancer at the age of 16. Now seven years later Stevie is still dealing
with the loss of her sister and feels like she has nothing left, the loss of
Claire has starting to consume her. As a product of an affair between her
mother and Lans LionHeart, she has filled her head with reasons why Stevie
should never trust a man. Now that
Stevie is in her last year of college she is looking forward to her internship
with Merlin, a media company her dad owns, she wants to get into his good
graces. Stevie still has her half sister Aspen (also from one of her father’s
affair), her half siblings Kinsley and Lincoln to turn to.
Ford (Crawford) Cannon started a multimedia
company called Jinx with his brothers and the success of the company has made
him a household name. He has no problem getting any woman he wants but they
only seem to want him for his money. He
rarely spends more than one night with them except when he spends time with a
long time friend/ex Evelyn. She has been
in his life for the past ten years and he seems to always keep coming back to
her. Ford has been looking for some one who doesn’t care about who he is or how
much money he’ll spend on them.
Stevie attends a function held by her father, intending
to spend one last night with her family before she goes to visit Claire. Invited by Lans, Ford decided to step into
enemy territory walking around checking out Jinx’s competition with Evelyn
handing on his arm when sees Stevie standing outside. She has not only caught Ford’s attention but
he is also drawn to her for reason unknown.
After ditching Evelyn, Ford goes out to meet Stevie. They spend time talking and he soon realizes
she has no idea who he is, making her all that more appealing to him. Stevie
decides she going to flirt and spend one night with this handsome stranger she just
met putting off her original plans with Claire. The problem for both Ford and
Stevie is just one night is not enough for them, they want more but without the
proper introduction these two have no idea what they are getting themselves
into.
I was gifted this book in exchange for an
honest review. When reading the synopsis
for the book I wasn’t sure what to expect, as I have never read any of Addison
Moore’s books before. This book had me
hooked within the first chapter. I
didn’t want to but had to know what Stevie was going to do and how Ford would
play a part in her plans. She’s a strong
woman who seems so lost without her twin sister. I get that the loss of Claire was like losing
half of herself, and with a mother like hers I can is see how it was hard to
deal with the loss and move. I felt for Stevie and wanted her to come to terms
with Claire’s death. Ford is a guy who is dark walking with a cloud over him
and doesn’t know who her can trust. With
Evelyn in his life it makes it even worse as she is almost toxic to him. Once Ford meets Stevie he could see a way out
from underneath the dark cloud that engulfing him. He is just the right amount of Alpha male any
girl could ever want. Not too
controlling or possessive but has a kind, caring heart. I love how Ford truly loves Stevie and would
give up anything just to be with her. Evelyn (or Evilyn as Stevie calls her) is
exactly the kind of money hungry, gold digging witch that would do anything to
get what she wants. I love the nickname
Stevie gave her as it suits her to a T.
As I got further into the book I couldn’t put it down until the anxiety
kicked in and I wasn’t sure I wanted to know what Evelyn or Lans was going do
to next. I couldn’t just leave the book
alone even though it was too late to be reading as I had to find out if Ford
and Stevie would be okay.
I love how Addison developed all the main
characters in the book setting it up for the series and how they all interact
with each other throughout the book. I
look forward to reading next book in the series as Carter’s (Crawford’s
brother) and Aspen story is next.
If you have a spare second or looking for an
amazing book to read, Burning Through Gravity has to be put at the top of your
list. I loved this book and would
recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone who reads.
