Sometimes it feels so damn good to be bad
Photographer Wyatt Royce’s career is on the verge of exploding. All he needs is one perfect model to be the centerpiece of his sexy, controversial show. Find her, and Wyatt is sure to have a winner.
Then Kelsey Draper walks in. Stunning. Vibrant. And far too fragile for a project like this. Wyatt should know—after all, he remembers only too well why their relationship ended all those years ago.
Determined to break free from her good girl persona, Kelsey wants spice. Adventure. And she’s certain that Wyatt is just the man to help.
But when Wyatt agrees to give her the job only if he has complete control—on camera and in his bed—Kelsey can’t help but wonder if she’s in too deep. Because how can a good girl like her ever be enough for a man like Wyatt?
All Wicked novels stand alone
Kim's 4 Star Review
Wyatt Royce’s career is on the verge of exploding but there’s only one thing holding up his upcoming show, the one model he could have or at least he thought so. The moment Kelsey Draper walked into his studio, everything changed. Wyatt’s past is now catching up with him but how can he trust the one person who broke that trust twelve years ago.
I was given this book in exchanged for an honest review.
Julie Kenner has created this amazing world that sucks you in from the moment you read the Stark Trilogy. The characters that were introduced take on a life of their own and Wyatt’s story is no different.
We first met Wyatt when he was teaching Nikki Stark and her friend Jamie the art of photography. What we learn of him then was that he is a strong dominant man who has a past that is unlike no other. All the woman of his life are fully immersed on Hollywood one way or another leaving it hard for Wyatt to make a name for himself on his own. This show that he has spent the past two years on will put him on the map but something was missing, the centre pieces of the show. The one woman he could see but couldn’t find a substitute for and time was running out.
Kelsey Draper lives her life in with her father in her head. He always told her what she should do and how she should act. If she didn’t follow this then she would be punished. Kelsey blames herself for what happened to her brother but she was only a teenager. Like any teenager, she just wanted to spend time with a boy. After being persuaded to take her best friends Nia’s place, Kelsey get the unexpected slap in the face from her past.
It may have been twelve years but there is still something there between Wyatt and Kelsey. The parting was a series of accidents and misunderstanding, along with outside help to drag them part. Never less the chemistry between them is still as strong as the day they met. Wyatt may want to punish Kelsey for leaving and playing him but what he gets is so much more than he bargained for.
Julie has done such an amazing job with all her characters in the Stark world but more than she brought so many world into one and did it flawlessly. When I started reading Wyatt’s story I already felt like I knew him. Getting to know Kelsey was just as great of an experience as it is getting to know any character Julie has written about. This is the first book of the Stark World and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for the rest of the series.
