Dallas Sykes
and Jane Martin have a past that binds them together but can also rip them
apart. I was gifted this novel in
exchange for an honest review and as J Kenner gave us a hot and sexy romantic
novel that pushes her readers to believe in love.
We get a
glimpse of Jane and Dallas life not only what it was like as they were held captive
but also what is they were like when they were younger. The bond that these two
have is not only intense but is one that can’t be broken.
Jane may
come off as a little mousey but when she truly believes in something she goes
all out to protect them. Jane has tried
most of her adult life to forget her feelings for the man who by adoption
became her brother. Her feelings for him
are far from brotherly and she knows that she can’t just move past her feelings
so she’s ready to embrace them and make things work for them no matter what the
cost is.
Dallas is an
alpha male and Dom. He has the need to
be in control and he loves the feel of it.
After being kidnapped and tortured the only way Dallas could feel
anything including anything to do with sex.
Becoming a Dom gives him the needs to feel more but what he needs more

together but no matter how hard they try to deny their feelings for each other
it’s never going to work. The bond with
each other is unbreakable and leaves you rooting for them. The impending news
about Dallas’s kidnapping close to coming out and their little secret leaves these
two not only stand up for themselves but fight for what they believe in. You have to admire them knowing what they
will be up against but they still go after what they want. With this being the
second book in the trilogy you know that you’ll be left with a cliff hanger
that will leaves you anticipating the final novel in the series.
