Jay must race against time to save his ol' lady Lil's and their baby before tragedy strikes. In this sequel we learn more about Jay, the deep love he has for his soulmate, and just how far he is willing to go to protect her.
This novella is approx. 50,500 words and does not contain a cliffhanger ending like it's prequel. However, an epic love story like Lil's and Jay cannot possibly be wrapped up in two tidy little novella's... now can it?
BOOK 3 - A LIL' LESS HOPELESS
Jay and Lils' epic tale of true love has unfolded, first in 'A Lil' Less Broken', followed by 'A Lil' Less Lost', and now concludes in the third installment of Tara Oakes' thrilling Kingsmen MC saga.
Jay has proven his loyalty over and over... that he is willing to do whatever necessary for his one true love, his Lil' one, Julia. She just so happens to have an uncanny ability to find herself in need of that loyalty time and again.

The Kingsmen M.C's saga continues in this newest installment of Tara Oakes' tantalizing new series. In the first three novella's you've come to know and love the characters within the club. Jay and Lil's have had their epic love story play out over the pages of "A Lil' Less Broken", followed by "A Lil' Less Lost" and finally, "A Lil' Less Hopeless". While their fairytale is far from over, the next arc in the series concentrates on some of the other intriguing characters that have been woven throughout Jay and Lil's storyline.

A Lil’ Less Broken
Julia Keagan was born and raised within the Kingmen’s
Motorcycle Club, she was given the nickname Lil’s by them. She spent most of
her childhood following around her older and his best friend Jay. Lil’s has always had a crush on Jay, who was
6 years older than her but never thought anything would ever come of it. Once
she turned 16, Jay started spending more time with her and eventually making it
official and she becomes his old lady.
Jay was the son of the president of Kingmen’s MC and always
felt he had to prove himself. He pledged
with Tiny and spent most of his time with the MC out to prove he was more than
just the president’s son, his efforts earning him the vice president position
in the MC. Things don’t always go
according to plan so when Lil’s witnesses something she never thought she
would, she switches Colleges leaving Jay behind with no explanation. Little does Lil’s know that fate would bring
them back together.
I was given this novella in exchange for an honest
review. First off I’ve got to say having
the Motorcycle Club lingo put at the beginning of the book was helpful. I didn’t have to try to figure out what
anything meant which made this novella an easier read. I love a good MC and this novella didn’t
disappoint me. I love the feistiness of
Lil’s as she tries to get her own way even though she knows that’s not how
things are done. She has an independent
side of her that is like no other, but knows when to bring that out and when
not to. Jay may be the son of the club
president but he can hold his own. I
love how he has a soft spot for Lil’s and deals with the independent streak she
has without oppressing it too much. The
love that he has for her shows throughout the book, it melted my heart and made
me fall for him too. The flow of the book was well written as Tara went between
the past and present to give the readers the full story on how Lil’s and Jay
got together and their history as a couple.
Leaving this novella with a cliffhanger just made this story even better
as it left me wanting more. I can’t wait
for A Lil Less Lost to come out so I can find out what happens and how the club
will handle the new threat to them. This may be the first book for Tara Oakes
but she has me wanting more like Kristen Ashley did with Motorcycle Man. Definitely a 5 star read.
Lil’s and Jay had faced some hard times throughout their
relationship but fate brought them back together. Lil’s didn’t like how Jay
forced her back into a relation ship but once she realizes her was doing this
to protect her, she agree to his terms.
It wasn’t as hard as she thought it would be, as she still loved him but
she thought he had betrayed her. After
agreeing to stay with Jay she found out just how wrong she was and how much she
had hurt him. Just when they thought they finally got back what they once had,
they’re struck by a power play made by a rival MC called Slayers. The president of Slayers MC wants part of
Kingsmen turf and will do anything to get it including taking Lil’s to add fuel
to the fire.
I was given this novella in exchange for an honest
review. Tara kept up her amazing story
writing with this continuation of Lil’s and Jay’s story. She also had the MC
lingo at the beginning of the book again which is always a bonus in my books. I like how the characters development progressed
in this book and how she added their own points of view to help develop the
story. It worked really well throughout
the book. Jay stayed strong and worked hard to get Lil’s back to where she
belonged. He showed that he had a level
head when he needed to but going up against the president of the MC instruction
showed he had the balls to do whatever it took to get back the woman he
loves. His plans were well thought out
considering everything he had to live for could be ripped away from him if he
made one wrong move. Lil’s character
stayed strong but showed her vulnerable side as the situation called for
it. The foreshadowing in this novella
had me guessing what would come next and set it up for the third installment in
the Kingsmen MC series. December can’t
come soon enough as I really need to know what is in store for Lil’s and Jay
and how Charlotte plays a part in it.
This is another 5 star read for Tara Oakes!
Now that Jay has Julia (Lils’) back safe and sound with him
he will do anything to protect her and their baby. With Shade’s ex-old and an important
ex-member of the Slayers missing Lil’s may be the person going down for Shade’s
murder. Jay comes up with several plans
to keep Lils’ safe but he knows that it could all fall apart if Lils doesn’t go
along with it. Once Lils’ finds out what
Jay has done she comes up with a plan of her own. Will risking it all save her family or will
it tear her and Jay apart for good?
Julia remains strong after what she has gone through. It’s not easy but she needs to be
strong. The stubborn side of her is
never too far away but that is one of the things Jay loves about her. Now that the FBI is breathing down their
backs as to what really went down Lils’ protective instincts kick in. She wants to protect everyone including
Jessica. Keeping her in the dark about what really happened to Emily is putting
a strain on Lils’. She needs to talk to
some one but involving another friend into this could be a disaster. Lils’
knows they have no real idea what her life was like before she left for College
and she isn’t ready to let them know the full extent now.
Jessica comes from a very different life than Julia. Her parents have money and Jess is much more
innocence to things Lils’ has been exposed to.
When Jess shows interest in Blue, Lils’ puts a stop to it almost
immediately, as she lost one of her friends and she is determine not to lose
another. Luckily for Lils’ Jess gets to see what Blue likes as he is one of the
guards for Lils’ Bachelorette Party and he find his way into Christine’s (a
high school friend of Lils’) bed.
Charlie’s still remains very much a mystery to the readers
but is strong when she needs to be. She
is also there for Lils’ when Lils’ needs her.
Being asked to be a bridesmaid surprised her but she is more than happy
to be there for her. Her and Clicks
relationship is a roller coaster ride.
She wants him but the reason she is holding her back.
Jay is all alpha male in this book. His protective instincts
has never left him. He is determined to
protect Lils’ and his baby from everything that is happening around her. He shelters her from what is going on, only
telling her what she needs to know. When
Lils is unexpectedly pick up by the FBI and the mystery of the missing man is
revealed but this doesn’t help Jay out with finding the real killer and keeping
Lils’ and his baby out of Jail. Jay has
a plan to protect them but it will only work if his feisty fiancé does as she’s
told.
I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest
review. Tara Oakes did it again!! She wrote an amazing conclusion to Jay &
Lils’ story. This part of their story
had me hooked form the beginning as I wanted to know how Jay was going to
protect and prove Lils’ was innocent of killing Shade’s. Jay went out of his way to do what he needed
to do to protect Lils’ but of course she doesn’t always see things the way he
does which makes thing interesting.
Charlie and Click’s story continues to grow in this book but it leaves
more question than answers. The roller
coaster ride Tara took us on to end this story kept me on the edge of my seat
and left me unable to put the book down.
I had to know how things connected to each other and whether or not Lils
would go down for Shade’s murder. I was
hoping for some answer as to what Charlie was up to but Tara kept everything a
secret until the very end. If you
haven’t read this series yet, you don’t know what you’re missing!!!
Bittersweet Deception

We met Charlie in Lil’s story and she has become a good
friend to her and has been accepted into the club but no one knows she hiding a
secret from them. Charlie is a strong,
independent woman who lives with this secret every day wondering when she will
lose everything she has. She came to
Chislom with one goal in mind, but after meeting and spending time with Clink,
she found herself in deep. No matter how
hard Charlie tried she couldn’t help but fall for him. After spending practically every night with
Clink when he wasn’t doing club business Charlie can’t seem to live without
him.
Clink told himself never again would he take an old lady but
there was something about Charlie. The more time he spent with her the more he
couldn’t give her up. Her sass and how
easily she got along with the other woman of the club only made things harder.
Clink may be the club enforcer but he is anything but mean. The kind, caring and loving side he shows
Charlie makes you fall for him
Tara did it again with another great book in the Kingsmen MC
Series. I’ve followed the series from
the being and I wanted to know who Charlie was and why she was there. Charlie and Clink have chemistry unlike the
rest. They both are independent people
who have no problem being alone but when they are together sparks fly and you
can’t help but fall in love with the couple.
This book is all about finding out who Charlie is but the series of
twist and turns that test the relationship between the couple. You don’t really find out who Charlie is and
why she is there until you’re about 75% done the book. I had many guess as to who she was but when I
found out I was left with more questions than answers. Of course when Clink finds out who she is
things explode leaving a cliffhanger and me wanting more!! I can’t wait to find out what happens next
and how finding out who Charlie is affects the club. If you’re hoping I’ll tell you who Charlie
is, well I’m sorry to disappoint you but you’ll have to read this awesome book
to get that answer and you won’t be disappointed either when you find out!
