He was gone for her the second he saw her sitting alone at that restaurant. He had deep-seated need to get inside of her––to know her, to consume her in the way she had captured him by just breathing.

Whatever he was hit with that first night, only seemed to intensify over these past few days, like someone decided to turn the volume up on what he was feeling.

He chuckled low in his throat, when he thought about the power she already had over him. She could ask him to destroy the world, and he’d do it with ease simply because she asked.

He hit the text icon and sent a message to Naila: Make sure you have your dessert, tesoro. I’ll see you later tonight.

The phone chimed: If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you were trying to fatten me up. Lol.

Tommy: I like my women with a healthy appetite for things….food is one of them.

Naila: And what are the other ones?

Tommy: I’d much rather show you. Oh and Naila?

Naila: Yes?

Tommy: Don’t even think about playing with yourself to relieve that ache between your legs. I want that privilege, tesoro.

She didn’t respond right away. Tommy didn’t think he overstepped, but texting was a weird space for people to communicate. He’d much rather call her––to hear the exact moment her breathing changed when he told her not to touch herself. But he didn’t want to give the boys in the warehouse any hint to who he was talking to.

The phone chimed; he looked down and smiled.

Naila: I don’t like being told what to do, Tommy. You should learn that, quickly. Besides, I’ve already had my fingers inside of me, making myself cum twice. It didn’t take long, either. All I had to do was imagine my fingers were you.”

Tommy let out a pained chuckle, and all eyes shot to him. He shook his head and turned his back on Bear and the guards to give himself whatever privacy he could. He didn’t want Bear to see exactly what he was feeling written all over his face.

Tommy: What am I going to do with you, tesoro? You have my dick painfully hard, and you relieved yourself while I suffer? That’s not nice. I’ll be sure to punish you for that when I come back to you.

Naila: Promises, promises. Be careful tonight, Tommy.

Tommy: Always, tesoro.

About Nicole Banks

Creatively living through music, writing and yoga.

I love the arts and how they move you and make you feel.

Reading has always been a great love of mine right after my love of music. Each song written is a story waiting to be told. Which, along with my over active imagination fueled my desire to write about the chaos that goes on in my head.

I love stringing words together. I love making people get lost in a story and connecting with fictional characters that remind them of someone they know.

I published my first book Shattered in 2013. It’s the first installment in the Shattered Hearts Series.

Shattered started out as an assignment for a college course I took at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. After I graduated college I went through my old papers and reconnected with the story morphing into so much more then what I wrote in my college course.

Now you can find me doing yoga, listening to music and working on getting out all the stories in my head, including dabbling in poetry. (Which I've always had a secret love affair with).

Release Tour for Out of the Box Awakening by Jennifer Theriot

OUT OF THE BOX AWAKENING
Out of the Box series, book 1
by Jennifer Theriot

Genre: Women's Fiction Romance

**2016 Reader's Favorite Award Winner in Women's Fiction**

**2017 Texas Association of Authors 1st Place: Romance Series**

Olivia Petersen thought her life ended the day her husband walked out. Little did she know, it had only just begun.

A good woman, mother, and wife, she's got it made. She didn't expect anything to change, but of course it does...

Swept from her perfect paper-doll life in Houston, Olivia finds herself in Chicago, alone, betrayed, and far from home. Soon everything she thought she knew about herself and her life will be challenged.

Ash Harper is the man who has everything--everything except healing from the losses of a lifetime and a dark family secret.

What happens when the married woman and the sexy handsome widower are thrown together by fate?

Out of the Box Awakening is a women's seasoned contemporary romance about second chances, shared passion and shared joy. Jennifer Theriot has written a compelling series about what happens when two people over the age of forty find new life and new love for themselves.

Recommended for readers over the age of 18. This book contains adult language and situations.

How long have you been narrating?
I started narrating audiobooks a year ago in 2016. I own an online book rental company and I did a small voice over bit for a marketing piece. A lot of friends said I really ought to look into doing voice over work. So I started out reading recipe books until I understood what works and what doesn’t work, how best to improve the sound, how much I could speak before my voice ran out, and how best to use the software. Once I felt comfortable navigating all these factors that go into audiobook recordings, I started narrating children’s stories.

What is your favorite genre to narrate and why?
I can’t say I have one favorite genre over another. I quite enjoy reading children’s books because you can vocally explore a wide range of voices (many silly voices which are fun). I enjoy adult fiction that fall under first person romance or thriller, because I can delve into the character’s emotions and it taps into my theatrical side.

Do you like input from your authors as far as voice styles or photos of the muses for characters? And is that helpful to you as a narrator?
I find voice samples and photos are extremely helpful in knowing what the author saw when they wrote the book. It is especially helpful for long stories with many characters. This helps delineate the characters from one another if you know the actors in real life. The downside can be if you don’t recognize the actor or their character type, then it becomes a concern whether or not you are adequately representing the character as the author intended.

So, you got the audition request for Out of the Box Awakening. What made you accept it? Was there something about the story line or character that drew you in?
From the very first paragraph of Out of the Box Awakening, I was drawn to Olivia. There was a wonderful vulnerable quality to her. Jennifer Theriot did such an amazing job of capturing her inner voice, that I knew I wanted to be the voice for Olivia. I also read a lot of the reviews from people that purchased Jennifer’s books and there were some amazing reviews that I knew this would be a book I would not only enjoy narrating, but reading. For a long book (it was estimated at 15 hours), it was important it was a book I would enjoy reading, and I was not wrong it was an incredible story.

Did you have a favorite character in Out of the Box Awakening?
Aside from Olivia, Todd is hands down my favorite character. I love the breadth of his character from unapologetic bad boy to hopeless romantic. I enjoyed narrating his lines when he would both swear like a sailor whilst at the same time espousing the merits of love, friendship, and kindness.
Is communication with your authors important along the way?
Communication with the author along the way is an absolute necessity. Yes, I can narrate a book without any input, but it would be terrible to find at the end that you didn’t get the character as the author intended. What I really enjoyed about working with Jennifer was how easy it was to develop a bond with her, even though we live on opposite sides of the planet. From the start, I knew I would like Jennifer and I immediately felt an obligation to do her story justice. I also felt her supporting and cheering me on as we advanced through the chapters. When you have an author that is excited for the narrator and appreciates the work, it makes it so much more rewarding!

You’ve received some pretty high accolades from Jennifer Theriot. How does that make you feel about doing future projects with her? Would you consider doing any more books in her Out of the Box series?
Using one of Olivia’s favorite sayings- “without a doubt”. I would jump at the opportunity to work with Jennifer again. Once I started narrating the final chapters of Awakenings, I felt both thrilled and melancholy to be finishing her story. Not just because the story was ending, but also because it has been such a breath of fresh air working with an author that cares so much for her story, for her narrator, and for the overall experience. I could tell that this story was more than just an endeavor for her. It is a story that lies close to her heart.

Now, a few questions for Triera as a ‘person’….

Do you have a career outside of narrating?
Outside of narration, I actually wear a few hats. I own an online book rental company in Denmark. I started it when I first moved here and started my little family. Books and most consumer goods in Denmark are expensive. There is a large second hand market here for that very reason. I was always an avid reader; as a child I was the first one running out to the book mobile. I saw that both my children held this same joy for books, but our libraries only carried about 30 English books. Whilst they would learn Danish and primarily speak Danish, I wanted to read to them and I wanted them to learn English. So I started owlbooks.dk for other expats that found themselves in the same situation.

I also do post production work. My clients are primarily professionals (no Hollywood movies yet). Most of the productions are online projects from commercials, to youtube video logs, coaching and strategy projects. These are a lot of fun and I enjoy the diversity of the projects.

How many audio books are in your repertoire?
I have had the pleasure of narrating nine titles. My repertoire entails cook books, children and young adult books, and adult fiction. I’ve been a child, a witch, a vampire, a celestial being, and an amazing woman by the name of Olivia.

Tell us something about yourself and your hobbies.
Aside from playing the piano, I love sitting in front of the computer learning new things around the creative digital space. These are the two hobbies that I do on a regular basis, but I’ve delved into so many hobbies and as part of my quest to experience life to the fullest I hope to never stop taking on new hobbies. Many years ago I started taking flying lessons where I got to fly Cessna aircrafts. I was nearly complete with obtaining my private pilot’s license when I wound up moving and no longer lived close enough to my flying club. That was such a thrill and I do hope to take up lessons again.

What does the future hold for Triera?
If my history has taught me anything, it’s that there is no telling what my future holds. The beginning never follows a finite line to the end. I started off in this life as an orphan from the ravages of war and I was adopted into a wonderful family of six, worked and traveled throughout the world, and wound up in Denmark as a mother of two angels sent from heaven. I can only hope that my future holds wonderful experiences surrounded by people that I love and care for.

But in 2012, over six years after that statement was made and after a love of reading had been reignited, she gave writing a shot. J.B. gladly ate crow when she emailed her first book to the above mentioned children’s literature professor thanking her and acknowledging the accuracy of her prophecy. In 2011, it was discovered that not only do both of her children, but also she and her husband, have mitochondrial disease. Affecting 1 in 2500 people, it has no cure or treatments. Being a writer allows J.B. to care for her family’s unique needs while also providing a platform for raising awareness for this disease. She is a hopeless romantic who loves to escape into fairy tales—some she reads and some she creates. J.B. McGee and her family now reside in Buford, Georgia.

About Lucky Star

What happens when two best friends who are secretly in love with each other hookup after one too many shots of tequila? For Sarah Travers and Cameron Scott, their friendship is quickly overshadowed by the uncertainty that comes with crossing the line from friends to lovers. Their problems are compounded when Cameron is cast as the lead in a major Hollywood blockbuster and he must decide what’s more important: sticking by the woman he’s loved since the moment they met or the bright lights and temptation of superstardom.

Sarah
When I met Cameron we hit it off like macaroni and cheese. Now we’re practically inseparable but I’ve been hiding the fact that I’m in love with him. Truly, madly, deeply. He finally figured it out and everything changed between us forever. That’s not my biggest problem though. You see, Cameron just landed the role of a lifetime and, despite how he feels about me, I’m worried I’m about to play second fiddle to the bright lights and temptations of Hollywood.

Cameron
I think I’ve loved Sarah since the first moment I laid eyes on her. It goes without saying she’s funny, smart, and has curves for days, but it’s more than that. She’s my light in this cynical, messed up world called Hollywood. I’d do anything to be with her, but I keep screwing up what should be easy. Now the studio is pressuring me to date my new co-star as part of a PR campaign and all I can think is maybe Sarah and I weren’t meant to be.

Excerpt

I told myself I wasn’t going to do it – was absolutely not going to let it happen – but sometimes, despite your best intentions, you can’t control who you fall in love with. You fight it as best you can because deep down you know it’s a bad idea to go down that path, but sometimes you meet someone and you just can’t stay away. Someone who makes you feel something unlike anything you’ve ever felt before ... and ... well, you’re doomed.

Lord knows I tried to stay away. He’d walk into a room and I’d walk out of it. He’d innocently put his hand on my shoulder and I’d move out from under his touch. Don’t get me wrong, I was never rude about it but I had to establish physical distance for self-preservation’s sake.

Somehow I was able to convince myself he wasn’t singling me out, that I wasn’t any more special to him than anyone else. I tried to rationalize it every way I could because I didn’t want to admit what was really happening.

He touches everyone like that, I’d say to myself. He’s just that sort of guy. Friendly, tactile.
And yet I stepped away from each interaction with him warm and breathless.

Before Cameron, I’d never been close enough with a man that I’d call him before I’d reach out to any of my girlfriends. And I’d certainly never thought about any of my other male friends as “my best friend” so I had no idea what to expect where the relationship was concerned. You heard all the time about men and women not being able to remain completely platonic, but before Cameron, I’d never understood why that was. Having a guy as a best friend threw me for a loop often, but it was the other stuff – the heady stuff – that knocked me upside my head.

At first our friendship was so easy because he was so easy and comfortable to be with. Over time we fell into a really happy, relaxed routine. Sometimes we’d hit the gym together and he even trained me to box. Or he’d show up at my office, my favorite coffee in hand. And then there were the times he’d walk my dog, Duke, when I had to work late. We introduced our friends to each other and they became friends, our entire group going on ski vacations or spending holidays together when we couldn’t – or, in my case, wouldn’t – make it home to our families. After awhile, everyone jokingly called us Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee.

Basically, we were thick as thieves and it really was the best kind of friendship.

But then it all changed. At first it was little things you might not notice unless you were actively looking for them. His hand would rest on the small of my back just a little bit longer than was strictly necessary as he’d guide me through the bar. Or he’d catch my eye across a crowded room and smile at me. I mean really smile, his eyes alight with something … more. Or he’d call me, he’d explain, for no other reason than just to hear my voice.

So like I said, at first I tried to stop myself from feeling that way about him … and then I simply didn’t.

  About Rebecca Caudill

Author Photo

Rebecca has always loved writing stories. When she won a writing contest in third grade (a 1000-word epic tale about her teddy bear, Max), she announced she would someday become an author. When she wasn't writing her own stories, she was sneaking copies of her mom's paperback romances to read late into the night. (Which, thinking back, was probably not appropriate.) After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh in 2000 with a degree in Journalism, she embarked on a career in technology public relations in Silicon Valley, working for some of the country's hottest start-ups and publicly-traded companies. In 2014 she retired from corporate drudgery to write full time.

Rebecca lives in Dublin, Ireland, with her husband. When not writing, she is exploring her new city and traveling across Europe searching for inspiration for her next story. (Hint: it involves travel and rugby.)
