Spotting a hooker on a city street corner is not an abnormal thing.
Me bringing one home? Well, that's a first.

Ryleigh prides herself on being
independent woman who can take care of herself without any help. When Ryleigh’s former roommate left her baby
in her care, she ends up with more on her plate than she can financially afford. Ryleigh will do anything to protect this little
girl. She may not be working at the best
place but it pays the bills and puts food on the table. Normally Ryleigh
wouldn’t care what others thought of her or her job but when Alexei broke up an
intense situation outside her work, she is a little concerned what he might
think of her.
Alexei wasn’t expecting to
stumble into Ryleigh on his way home but when it looks like she needs some help
getting out of a situation that could go very wrong, he couldn’t leave without
her. He knows that this could go bad as
the PR he’s been getting lately has been less than positive and having Ryleigh
and exposed to the media could make things worse. Alexei’s Pro Football Status can
gets him whatever or whomever he wants but this lifestyles he has been living
is starting become boring to him. After
spending time with Ryleigh and her baby, Alexei knows what he wants now but
Ryleigh finds him bossy, moody, overprotective, totally alpha male and he’s
likes that she is thinking about him.
From the moment these two met
sparks flew. It was fate that brought
them to the same spot that one night. It’s not like they would run into each other
normally. Alexei tries to be the perfect
gentleman his mother raised but his career doesn’t make it easy to be able to
trust what others want from him. Ryleigh
is like a breath of fresh air to him, as she keeps pushing away his attempts to
financially help her. Ryleigh also has
her own issues with trust and owing other people. With no family to help her out, Ryleigh is
used to doing everything on her own and has a hard time accepting that Alexei
only wants to be with her and that he doesn’t think any ill about her or her
choice but admires her strength and tenacity.
Kendall knows how to reel in her
readers with a few simple words. From
the moment I started reading this book, I knew it would become one of my favourites
for 2018. There is just something about
Alexei and Ryleigh that is so easy to connect with personally. Alexei is what every woman wants in a man. He’s kind, caring and knows how to take
charge but he also knows when to back off too.
He’s a rarity among characters.
Kendall brought her reader a heartwarming but very sexy story that hooks
you and makes you want there story to never end. Both Alexei and Ryleigh are my
favourite characters from Kendall. She end the series perfectly and made this book
my favourite of them all!
