I’ve officially been Aleatha’d!!!
Kennedy spent most of
her life knowing that she was adopted but not knowing who her birth parents
were. She has spent years trying to get her life on track after the unexpected
departure of her adoptive parents. Kennedy and her close friend Louisa have a successful
business and with Louisa expecting her first child, Kennedy is forced to make a
business trip to the one place she didn’t wanted to go back to. Kennedy knows
as soon as she steps foot in that town her life will change. But is she ready
for what is to come?

Kennedy’s adoptive
mother dropped a bomb on her when she dropped her off at the airport. This left
Kennedy shocked but giving her glimpse into her past and she even giving
Kennedy her birth name, Araneae. She also advised her on what she needs to do
to keep herself safe. This was a new start for Kennedy. Even with all this
Kennedy was able to put her life back together, even though the life she had
was gone. Kennedy is a strong independent woman, with passion for things she
believes in. Her best friend Louisa has always been there for her since they
met at boarding school. They even started their very successful clothing
company, Sinful Threads. This company is everything to Kennedy as the only
family she has is Louisa’s family but that hasn’t stopped Kennedy.
Sterling Sparrow lives a
life unlike the rest of the world. His life has been planned out for him and he
may have taken a few diversions from the path, he was still where he was supposed
to be. His is a man who is always in control, a true alpha and expect the ones
around him to jump when he says so. What he needs now is the one things he was
promised, Araneae. Sterling will do whatever it takes to get her to come to
him, even if she doesn’t know that she’s falling for his plan.
When strange things
start happen at one of the distribution centres for Sinful Threads, Kennedy
ends up going to find out what is happening. It’s not what she wanted to do but
with Louisa unable to make the trip, Kennedy is off to the one place she never
thought she’d even go again. Just when Kennedy thought she had things figured
out she was thrown for a loop and her life as she knows it will never be the
same.
My best friend and
fellow co-blogger told me that I needed to read Aleatha’s books as she is an
amazing and gifted writer. One thing I have learned is to take my friend’s
advice when it comes to authors, so when this series came out I decided it was
time to read Aleatha books. It’s been a long time since I spent late nights
reading but Aleatha’s has been added to that very small list of writers who can
do that to me. Aleatha had me hooked before I finished the first chapter.
Aleatha had me at the edge of my seat for the most part or up pacing as the
twists and turns came at me and it’s one of the most amazing books I’ve read
this year. There were parts that were so intense I couldn’t put the book down.
I don’t think I’ve read a book this fast in a while. My poor co-workers got to
hear about the book every day until I finished it, which didn’t take long. I
was captivated by the story line and characters within the story. I couldn’t
put this book down and when I was finished the book I ended up with a book hang
over and dying to get my hands on the next book in the series.

About Aleatha Romig
Aleatha Romig is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author who lives in Indiana, USA. She grew up in Mishawaka, graduated from Indiana University, and is currently living south of Indianapolis. Aleatha has raised three children with her high school sweetheart and husband of over thirty years.
