A hot and hilarious new standalone from New York Times bestseller Kendall Ryan.
We met in a trapped elevator.
Emmett was on his way to work, sophisticated and handsome in his tailored suit and tie.
I was on my way to the sperm bank. Awkward, right?
At thirty-five, my life hadn’t taken the path I thought it would and I was tired of waiting—I wanted a baby. And I was ready to take matters into my own hands to make it happen.
After our ill-fated elevator encounter, Emmett insisted on taking me to dinner—he also insisted on something else—that I ditch my plan involving a turkey baster and let him do the job. He would be my baby daddy. He was a wealthy and powerful CEO with little interest in diapers or playdates. And since he didn’t want kids, I’d be on my own once his bun was in my oven, free to go my own way.
But once his baby was inside me, it was like a switch had been flipped, and I got a whole lot more than I ever bargained for.
This full-length standalone contains a hot, swoonworthy hero, lots of playful banter and some hot baby-making ! Enjoy.

Kim's 4 Star Review
At thirty-five, Jenna was ready to
take charge of her life but ended up trapped in an elevator with a handsome stranger. A stranger who was more than willing to help
her out with her dreams of becoming a mother. The problem was this stranger (Emmett)
felt like more than just a stranger and the fact that he even offered to help
her out was odd but when his offer came with the condition to do it the old
fashion way. Jenna may have thought twice about the offer but it’s been a while
since she scratched that itch, so why not give in to the one man who has peeked
her interest in a long time.
Emmett was on his way to his
office when his life changed. In the
process of trying to buy out another book store he finds himself wanting
more. The last thing he ever thought he’d
want is a baby or offer to help out a perfect stranger have a baby but there
was something about Jenna that he could let go.
The need to be the one to help out was more than he wanted to analyze.
I was given this book in exchange
for an honest review and boy did this book open up my eyes. At first I thought why would a man or in this
case Emmett ever offer himself as the donor when Jenna was more than willing to
do this on her own with an unknown donor.
As you get to know these two, you find out that the offer was more than
Emmett just being nice, but it was his way of trying to avoid making the same
mistakes his parents did.
Jenna and Emmett are both very
strong independent people who think they know that they want, but both of them end
up doing is very different from what they should be. They have this undeniable chemistry and familiarity
about each other. Right from the start
they are more like friends who haven’t seen each other in years, than they are
strangers. The fact that Emmett is
willing to help create a baby the old fashion fun way just shows that there is
more to this than just getting into bed to satisfy his craving.
I found some parts of this books
quite funny. Jenna is so shy about
having sex with Emmett that she does everything she can do to keep it as clinical
as possible but Emmett can see right through it. He agrees to help her because he wanted her
in his bed even if it was just until she was finally pregnant but he wanted
this to be memorable for both of them.
After all why have sex if you can’t really enjoy the pleasures that go
with it?
Kendall Ryan wrote an amazing
story, hitting on some very real situations but gave her readers more than just
characters who were out to for a good time, she gave them depth and
compassion. We got to watch Jenna and
Emmett grow throughout the experience of trying to make a baby without it being
all about sex. The fun they have
together while not actively trying, pulls you in and makes you fall in love
with them as they fall in love with each other. This is another must read from
Kendall Ryan!!
