“You wouldn’t,” I say, though I can’t keep the genuine worry out of my voice.
“Wouldn’t I?”
I shake my head, trying to appear more certain than I feel.
“Why not?”
“Because that wouldn’t just punish me. It would torture you, too.”
“It would,” he agrees. “And while I’m not usually averse to self-sacrifice for a good cause--and,” he adds as his eyes skim over my body, “you are a very good cause--tonight I have something else in mind. Take off your jeans, baby. Take off everything and get on the floor. I want you at my mercy.”
“I’m always at your mercy,” I say as I begin to comply, and from the gleam in his eyes, it’s clear that he knows it.
“You are,” he says, a softness sneaking in to dull the sharp edge of his voice. “As much as I’m at yours. But I’ve been thinking about you all day, hot and naked and wet for me. And tonight I’m taking what I want. And baby? I promise you’re going to enjoy it.”
I’m on the floor now, my clothes abandoned, and I whimper a little as his words caress me, making my nipples peak and my clit throb. I have absolutely no doubt he’s right. But enjoy is to mild a term. Whatever he has planned, I’m going to fucking love it.
“Roll over and get on your knees,” he demands as he unbuttons his shirt, then tosses it aside.
I do as he says, then look over my shoulder to see him, looking magnificent with his broad shoulders and tight abs. He’s strong and lean and hard, and there’s no question that he used to be an elite athlete. I don’t care about tennis at the moment, though. On the contrary, right then all I want to do is taste every delicious inch of him.

has just answered all you question in this next Stark Ever After Novella.
To Nikki, her life with Damien was perfect. They were happy with their careers on track
and spending time with their friends and family. Having a brother-in-law and sister-in-law
with a little one on the verge to entering the world and her niece Ronnie,
Nikki had lots of family around her. Her
mother was safely in Texas where she belonged and lack of phone calls suited
her just fine. Nikki may have a unique
relationship with Damien but it worked for them. It gave them both what they needed and more
than that, it gave them each other.
Nikki was used to living in the spotlight since being with Damien so
when a dark figure was lurking outside the bungalow on the new island
development that Sylvia, Jackson and Damien had created wasn’t a surprise but
it gave her reason to be cautious when Damien wasn’t around.
I was given this novella in exchange for an honest review
and true to form, J Kenner didn’t disappoint me. Catching up with Damien and Nikki every once
in a while is good but J Kenner gave her readers more than just Damien and
Nikki, she let them see what was happening next in Jackson, Sylvia’s and
Ronnie’s life and the added bonus of getting to know a bit more about Dallas
Sykes. Yes, his book is coming out soon
but just this little bit leaves you wanting trying to figure out what is going
on with Dallas Sykes. Everyone knows
that secrets come out and you would never know that Nikki still had some as we
find out in this novella. We get a look
into Nikki’s past and how it now collides with her present but J Kenner usually
leaves you wanting more but this time she left me with more questions than
answers and wondering just what’s going to happen next for the Stark family.
