A sexy category romance from Entangled's Brazen imprint...

Some lines are meant to be crossed... One explosive device was all it took to turn Holt Cunningham from ass-kicking Marine to IT technician. Hell, he's still not over it. So when the cute little strawberry blonde at the bar asks him to kiss her, Holt can't resist the temptation of a sexy distraction. Before he knows it, she's blown his mind...and then skipped out the next morning. Lydia Thomas never expected things with Holt to go quite that far, but oh, it was worth it. After being far too good for way too long, she was ready to be bad. Except that there's that tiny detail that Lydia kept to herself-Holt just spent the night doing naughty things...with his best friend's little sister. One night isn't nearly enough. But with his friendship on the line, how far will Holt go in order to claim what's his?

Kim's Review
4 Stars!!!

Lydia Thomas never expected that Holt Cunningham would take her home the night she met him in the bar.  She never told him who she was but she knew he was her brother’s best friend whom she never really met.  Holt was a love them and leave them type of guy.  What he went through as a Marine has left him wondering who would want him the way he is now.  Will these two get past the obstacles in their way or will the little secret Lydia is keeping ruin everything for them?

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Holt went through hell when he was a Marine and now he is trying adjust to civilian life as an IT Technician at Shillings Agency but he isn’t adjusting well.  Holt takes a different woman home every night as he is trying to forget what happened to him but it isn’t working for him until the night he took Lydia home with him.  He knew she was inexperienced but there was just something about her that he couldn’t walk away from.  She brought the dominant Alpha male out in him which he hasn’t seen in a long time.

Lydia just happen to choose Holt when her ex walked in but what she didn’t expect was how he’d make her feel.  She was keeping a secret from him that she is his best friends little sister.  Holt didn’t know it at the time and Lydia wasn’t going to tell him either as she wanted just one night with him.  The problem was Holt stirred up feelings and other things Lydia never knew she wanted.  He was everything she was looking for in a man and she didn’t care what he did in his past, she wanted him for who he is now.

This is the fourth book in the Shilling Agency series and the series just keeps getting better.  Holt is an ex-marine turned IT geek who loves Doctor Who and Lydia just happens to speak his language. These two starts off just as one night fling but the attraction they have for each other leaves them wanting more.  Once Holt figures out who Lydia is at a company event he was required to go to things change. He knows she off limits but she is the only woman who he has ever felt anything for.  Lydia didn’t want Holt to find out the way that he did, but now that it’s out she wants to move things forward and be with him.   Lydia’s brother has other plans as he sets up an interview for a job hours away from Holt.  Little does he know that his little sister has feeling for his best friends and his best friend feels the same way too.  Holt and Lydia’s story is a roller coaster ride of emotions as the two try to figure out what they want from each other and how to get it.  This is another amazing story from Diane Albert/Jen McLaughlin and I hope she continues the series and maybe we’ll get to see Lydia’s brother story soon.
