Kim's 5 Star Review

The first time Trevor kissed Scarlet, his life had changed but now that she is back in Oak Springs permanently, Trevor has to face his feelings for her.  He’s been reckless with his life and is now fighting for a second chance with Scarlet. Will his past catch up with him and ruin his chance with Scarlet or will they be able to move on and give their love a chance?

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.  I’m declaring Trevor Parker officially my favourite Parker Brother.  All of the Parker men are amazing in their own way and it’s hard not to fall in love with each character but Trevor was the one I clicked with the most. He’s a lot like his brothers as they all have the same reputation for being a ladies man but he is the one who has fought the most against fate and love.

Like the rest of the Parker men, Trevor oozes alpha male which is one of the main reasons all the woman practically fall at their feet. He knows what he is looking for in a woman, but has just let time pass as he let women walk in and out of his life without really seeing them.  The fact he knows who the perfect woman is but isn’t ready to give into what he feels for her. He’s the only unattached Parker man left and part of him wants to stay that way. Trevor has made fun of all his brothers as they have fallen in love.  He has even gone as far as joining his brother Cord and calling them smurf names.

Scarlet has known the Parker family for most of her life. Spending a lot of her childhood at their house and with Trevor. The night they had coffee together and he kissed her was the most important night of her life up until she was set up to go to the spring fling with him. Scarlet is a fiercely independent woman who know what she wants. Trevor has been the one man in her life that she has feelings for but she knows if she lets him know how she is feeling then he might turn away from her.  He keeps telling her that he does not want to be in a relationship and all the women who throw themselves at him but it doesn’t stop how she feels for him. Even if she wants to stop feeling this way.  Add a little unexpected surprise and she will never be able to forget the one man who stolen her heart.

Since Scarlet entered the series, Trevor has been a source of my frustration as I thought he didn’t know what he had in front of him. The attraction between these two can be seen by everyone.  Although the single women in town see it they still ignore it and openly flirt with Trevor in front of Scarlet. Trevor had me angry at him when he didn’t see how this hurt her Then when I got further in the book I did a one eighty as I got to see his side of things. It also gave me insight to what Scarlet sees in him. These two are perfect for each other. The way they are with each other when no one is around left me in awe of their relationship.

Kelly brought her readers an amazing series with the most amazing characters you can’t help but fall in love with.  I love each story on their own and as a series but how Kelly ended this book and the series was perfect and a little sad. What I’ll miss is I won’t have another book to look forward to and I won’t be able to see what is happening in Oak Springs.  As each story builds the story line I found myself more invested in the books and looking forward to the next book in the series.  As much I was looking forward to Trevor and Scarlet it also meant the end of one of my all-time favourite series. It also gave me a chance to decide which of the hunky man in the series is my favourite. Steed, Wade, Mitch, Jonathon, Tripp, Cord, and Trevor are all amazing in their own way but Trevor’s story and how he is with the women in his life had me in awe and won my heart.
