This is the second book in the trilogy and should be read in order
Kennedy’s life has been turned
upside down since the moment Sterling Sparrow walked into it. He is like no other man she has ever met and
the only who can unlock the secrets and lies that have been hidden about who
she is. The closer Kennedy gets to
Sterling, the more she questions what is real and what are lies.
I was gifted this book in

Kennedy/Araneae is as strong
woman who is willing to fight for what she believes in. The problem is she not so sure what she
believes in anymore. With so much of her
past hidden from her, Sterling is the only man who can shed some light on
it. The more time she spends with him
the more she cares for him. Everything he has told her has opened up a world
she never knew existed and has left her with more questions then she had
before. She’s struggling with what she can or cannot do or share with her
friends, while trying to keep her promise to Sterling.
Sterling is used to having a
nice, neat, ordered life. Since
Kennedy/Araneae came into his life there has been nothing but chaos. With an attempt on her life he has been focused
on protecting her and keeping her safe. She has opened a whole new world to
him, one like he’s never experienced before. Her sassy and stubbornness has
left him guessing what she will do next.
What he does know is that she won’t do as she was told.
This is the second book in the
series and I’m completely in love with the series. Aleatha has left me with more questions than
answers as she has added another point of view to the story. On top of that, she has kept me on my toes
and guessing what is to come next and trust me I have several theories as to
what is going on. I have fallen
completely in love with Sterling and Araneae as a couple. They are not the
perfect couple as they fight for what they believe, even if the other doesn’t
agree but other times they are perfectly in sync with each other. I find myself
wanting things to work out for them even though there are so many things
working against them. I know this review
seems vague but I don’t want to spoil the book or the series. Trust me, after reading this book you’ll be
counting down the days until the final book in this trilogy is out!

About Aleatha Romig
Aleatha Romig is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author who lives in Indiana, USA. She grew up in Mishawaka, graduated from Indiana University, and is currently living south of Indianapolis.
