Review & Excerpt Tour for Miss Fix-it by Emma Hart

MISS FIX IT

One handywoman.

One single dad.

One set of twins.

And the wall isn’t the only thing being drilled…

I learned the hard way that being a handywoman isn’t easy. The questions, the stares—the assumption I’m the proud owner of a cock and balls. Not that it matters. I’ve proven over and over that I’m ready for anything the judgmental asses throw at me.

Except the hot, single dad of twins who just moved to town.

Brantley Cooper gets the shock of his life when I show up on his doorstep to fix up his kids’ new rooms. His son is confused why ‘the pretty lady has a drill,’ and his daughter has a new obsession—me.

On paper, my job is easy. Go in, do their bedrooms, and leave.

In theory, I’m spending eight hours a day with a guarded, sexy as hell guy, and I’m staying for dinner more often than I’m eating it alone, on my couch, with Friends re-runs.

I shouldn’t be staying for dinner. I shouldn’t be helping him out with the twins. I shouldn’t be falling in love with tiny toes and dimpled cheeks.

And I most definitely should not be kissing my client.

EXCERPT

“Deal with it,” I echoed, my mouth dry. “What exactly do you mean by that?”

He glanced at my mouth.

“Okay, but, um, here’s the thing.” I couldn’t breathe. I sounded like a panting idiot trying to get the words out between each short, sharp breath I took. “This,” I motioned between us, “is bad.”

“Bad.” His lips tugged to the side.

“Yes. Because,”—help. Someone help—“because this isn’t allowed. Company rules. No cavorting with clients.”

“No cavorting with clients.” That half-smile turned into a full-blown grin. “That’s very…proper.”

“Well, I can’t exactly put, “No sleeping with the clients” now, can I?”

“You could have, but it would have been unfortunately precise.”

“I should change that.”

“I disagree.”

I licked my lips. “You should agree. Because this is—”

“Bad. You said.” More lip twitching.

“I thought you were sorry you made it awkward by kissing me.”

“That was before I found out you were attracted to me. Now, I’m a lot less sorry I kissed you.”

Oh. Well. Fair enough.

“Should I take back my acceptance of your apology?” I asked.

“You should stop talking and see how you feel when I’ve kissed you again.”

Kim's 5 Star Review

Take a hot single Dad, two adorable twins and add in a handy woman and that is how you make a hot, sexy and adorably funny romance must read novel!

I was given this book in exchanged for an honest review.

Kali Hancock grew up in a small town. Her non-traditional job choice isn’t a surprise to most but you can tell an out-sider by their reaction when K. Hancock show up to the job site. Being a builder also make it difficult for Kali to date too but she loves what she does. She’s a strong confident woman who knows what she wants but the small town life does give her everything she needs.

Brantley Cooper is new to Rock Bay and his new house is in some serious need of help. After getting K. Hancock Handyman Co from a local, he agree to have K. Hancock come to his house to give him a quote. What he didn’t expect was Kali when he opened the door. As much as it was a surprise it was also a relief to have another adult in the house. With being new to the area, he doesn’t know anyone in town or what it’s like to live in a small town but he’s starting to find out.

The moment Brantley and Kali met, you could feel the sparks between them. It’s was like fate had brought them together. Add Brantley’s four year old twins into the mix and they make the most adorable little family. If it isn’t Ellie questioning Kali on what she’s doing, it’s Eli being cute and shy. You can help but fall in love with the mischievous twins. Of course they are great at getting in Kali’s way when she is working on their rooms. They are also good at interrupting Brantley and Kali when things start moving beyond contractor/client relationship.

Emma Hart is an amazing writer and she brings her readers a heartwarming, hot, yet sexy and funny story that sucks you in and has you wanting to know what is going to happen next. I couldn’t help but root for Kali and Brantley to get together as it was so obvious that they were meant to be together. There was a time when I wanted to pull Kali aside and ask her, what she was thinking. Before I knew it, I was at the end of the novel and I was left wanting more, more Kali & Brantley and more of the twins!!!
