Raine Kendall is in love with both Liam O’Neill and Macen Hammerman
(Hammer) and has finally got what she was scared to want. Both men have agreed to share Raine but both
struggle with their own desire to have her to themselves. When the trio has to leave the cabin due to
an unexpected visitor, it leaves them all wondering if it’s too early to test
their new found relationship. Will they
be able to make things work or will outside forces tear them apart?
I was given this in exchange for an honest review.
Raine Kendall knows what she wants and that is both Hammer and Liam. Trying to balance the needs of two Dom’s can
be difficult for her. She wants to show
them both just how much she loves them but after years of abuse she still has a
hard time letting them in. Add Liam’s
ex-wife into the mix and Raine begins to doubt herself. She wonders why Liam would ever want someone
so broken and difficult when he could have the picture perfect wife again. She does her best to remember what Hammer and
Liam taught her at the cabin but both men have to remind her just how perfect
just as she is.
Liam may have agreed to the arrangement of sharing Raine for her but his
jealousy still gets the better of him.
He knows that Raine told him that she loves him but it’s hard for him to
believe as she has been in love with Hammer for six years and has only been
with him for a month. Having his ex-wife
pop unexpectedly up just as they trio is getting use to their new arrangement
only confuses him further and leaves him believing that Raine may not love him
as much as she loves Hammer.
Hammer has his own issues but sharing Raine with Liam isn’t one of
them. The fact that he shared his late
wife with Liam before helps him see what they could have but the lack of
communication from his late wife made things worse and she ended her life
without telling them how she felt. This
keeps playing on Hammers mind which makes him more cautious with Raine as the
love he has for her isn’t like anything he’s experienced before and losing her
would kill him. When Liam’s ex-wife
shows up and throws a wrench in the plans, he does his best to keep Raine from
finding out what a bitch the woman truly is.
The writing trio of Shayla Black, Jenna Jacob, and Isabella LaPearl did
it again. They had me blushing but wanting
more of Hammer and Liam. The chemistry between the trio had my heart
racing. The intense intimate scene
between Raine and her guys were just as hot, if not even hotter then before. Hammer is the strong, no nonsense Dom who
goes after and gets what he wants. Where Liam is the strong silent, loving and softer
Dom who balances Hammer. They’re the
perfect combination in my opinion for any girl in want for a Ménage a trios. Raine may be seen as the frighten little girl
however in this book proved that she is anything but. She shows her strength when she needs to and
has learn to talk to the men before running away. No matter what Hammer and Liam may agree or
disagree as to what is best for Raine, they both only have her safety and
well-being in mind. Of course this leads
to several twist and turns in that left me glued to the book. Just when I thought I had things figured out
something else comes up and I was back on the roller coaster ride. This book has the most suspense of the three
and left me guessing what was coming next.
Of course there will be a fourth book to the series so we were left with
a cliff-hanger and asking the questions of, who and what. I can’t wait to get my hand on the next book
in the series to see what is in store for Raine, Liam and Hammer.
